You''ll design and build production-grade microservices and APIs in Java and Python, deploy them to a Kubernetes-based cloud platform, and partner with Front-End and Platform teams to ship high-impact features.Key Responsibilities Design, build, and operate microservices and REST APIs in Java (Spring Boot) and Python (FastAPI/Flask). Make architecture decisions on data modeling, service boundaries, and integration patterns. Build for scale, reliability, and observability — metrics, logs, distributed tracing. Partner with DevOps to deploy services on Kubernetes via CI/CD pipelines. Write unit, integration, and contract tests; participate in production support and on-call rotations as needed. Mentor mid-level engineers through code reviews and design sessions.Required Qualifications 8+ years of backend / API engineering experience. Strong production experience in BOTH Java (Spring Boot) AND Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django). Deep expertise in REST API design, microservices, and event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar). Solid SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB). Hands-on experience deploying services to Kubernetes on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and system design.Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience with gRPC, GraphQL, or schema-first API design. Familiarity with Terraform, Helm, and modern observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry). Background in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, supply chain).CompensationRate is negotiable based on experience.
