Food Truck Manager & Driver

Truck Manager/Driver - MUST BE 19+ TO DRIVE No additional license is required to drive our trucks, outside of a valid driver's license. Pay Range: Up to $18/hour Job Type: Part-Time / Seasonal with potential Full-Time opportunities at the end of the season Position Overview: Rainbow Cone is looking for energetic, hardworking leaders to help provide a fun, welcoming atmosphere that sets us apart from all other ice cream shops. The Truck Manager will start his/her day at our warehouse located in Berwyn and will execute catering and retail events. As the Rainbow Cone Truck Manager, you are responsible for not only driving and overseeing the operations of the truck, you are part of the team and must help with the daily business. Core Responsibilities Greets all customers with fast, friendly, personalized service. Provide prompt and courteous service to all customers, encouraging the guest to return again to generate repeat business. Enforce a clean and tidy work environment. Ensure the team has what they need to succeed by keeping our shop stocked and ready for any rush of customers Create a culture of hospitality that inspires our team to take care of each other and uphold product quality standards. Training new employees Setting up and breaking down trucks and pop ups for events. Opening and closing procedures. Responsible for inventory levels. Responsible for sending reports to management. Requirements Managers Food Handler Certification Food Allergen Certification Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) Ability to drive company vehicles including a straight truck Ability to drive automatic transmission vehicles Ability to work on one’s feet for extended periods of time Ability to scoop ice cream for extended periods of time Must be able to work well with a team– we’re all about teamwork! Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Must have excellent communication skills, this includes listening & following directions Must have a positive attitude, no matter what! Qualifications: Must have a valid driver's license Must be 19 years or older to drive Must be able to drive 30 foot truck - no additional license is required outside of a valid driver's license Must be comfortable leading a team Some prior managerial/leadership experience required High school diploma or GED certificate a plus Ability to effectively communicate, whether written or verbally Current food handler’s card preferred Ability to stand for extended periods of time Prior cashier experience a plus Flexibility of hours Customer service skills Reliable Transportation is a must Mechanical inclination preferred Sweet Benefits: PLAW - Paid Leave for All Workers (up to 40 hours of paid leave) Over-time Opportunities available Competitive Wages + TIPS!
