This role centers on implementing individualized treatment plans that support functional communication, safe swallowing, and improved quality of life. The SLP collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure consistent, resident-centered therapy. A strong foundation in geriatric rehabilitation, clinical expertise, and a compassionate, communicative approach are essential to promote optimal outcomes and resident well-being.Key Responsibilities:Clinical Support and Treatment ImplementationConduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate residents’ speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing function.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings andresident goals.Provide therapeutic interventions targeting speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive communication, and dysphagia disorders.Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques to support carryover and safety.Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment that encourages resident participation and comfort.Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to care planning discussions to ensure coordinated, resident-centered care.Documentation and ComplianceAccurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and billing in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards, including Medicare and Medicaid guidelines.Ensure compliance with HIPAA, infection control protocols, and SNF-specific regulatory requirements.Collaboration and Professional DevelopmentCollaborate with nursing, dietary, occupational therapy, and physical therapy staff to support holistic care delivery.Maintain licensure and fulfill continuing education requirements in accordance with state and national guidelines.Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in speech language pathology and geriatric rehabilitation.Qualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institutionCurrent state licensure as a Speech-Language PathologistCertificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates may be considered2+ years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting preferredFamiliarity with Medicare, PDPM, and SNF documentation standards strongly preferredMajestic Difference Benefits:Quarterly Pay IncreaseDaily PayCompany-Paid Life InsuranceTelehealth ServicesDouble Pay on HolidayCare Team Member Relief FundJoin the Majestic Care team where compassion meets excellence!#HiMed
