Senior Technician
Responsible for providing and leading complex technical and testing support to engineering and the engineering lab. This position supports new product development and product improvements. Proactively leads initiatives.Join the team that is a leader in engineering, designing and manufacturing of leading-edge military expeditionary products and rugged industrial/commercial products since 1937.What We Offer:Health benefits, including telehealth medical services, Dental & VisionLife, AD&D & Disability (paid for by the company)401K with a company matchEssential Duties:Leads initiativesSupports engineering with a variety of complex engineering duties and/or hands-on tasksAssists in design, build and/or procurement of new or improved machines, tools, fixtures and material handling equipment and coordinating the implementationResponsible for completing process documentation, route sheets, etcReviews project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions, and to support the design for manufactureSets up and conducts testsAnalyzes test results related to the design and test objectives and adjusts equipment to bring within specificationsRecords these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methodsProvides and develops documentation to maintain equipmentProvides hands-on feedback to engineersSupports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organizationAdheres to all quality and safety standardsSupports other projects and performs duties as assignedEducation/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelors degree preferred5+ years of strong performance as technician or equivalentAble to work independentlyAbility to work a varied schedule, willing to work overtime when necessaryCompetent technical expertisePossesses effective oral and written communication skillsComfortable with the shop/laboratory and equipmentPossesses quality orientation and high attention to detailPossesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees and managers at all levels within the companyPossesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)Disclaimer: This job description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities required for this role.This position requires access to or use of export-controlled technical data or technology controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
