Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.\nJob Description:\nThis job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned\n\nPosition Responsibilities and Duties:\nGeneral Duties\nBe able to perform all essential Engineer II responsibilities\nDocument meeting minutes for engineering and permitting-related meetings and distribute action items.\n\nPursuit & Preliminary Design Support\nReview technical RFP documents and provide engineering and permitting input to the estimating team.\nRepresent SOLV engineering and permitting teams during pursuit and early-phase coordination meetings.\n\nMulti-Discipline Engineering Coordination\nEnsure coordination of design deliverables prepared by internal and external stakeholders responsible for the project scope of work.\nDevelop working knowledge of project-specific design requirements, including SOLV standards, owner/contract requirements, and permitting conditions.\nReview consultant deliverables for alignment with project-specific requirements and flag deviations or risks for escalation.\nTrack and manage engineering and permitting deliverable schedules in coordination with project management.\nAct as a single point of contact for all engineering disciplines to internal and external stakeholders\nReview and approve consultant proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets.\nProvide QA/QC oversight of individual consultant work products as well as the fully integrated, multi-discipline design.\nShare lessons learned and best practices across projects to improve future execution.\n\nOwner, IE & Consultant Interface\nManage Owner, Owner’s Engineer, and Independent Engineer submittals\nCoordinate review comments with consultants and track responses to closure.\nAssist in responding to Owner and IE comments and clarifications.\nRepresent the engineering and permitting team during Owner and consultant meetings as assigned.\n\nPermitting & AHJ Coordination\nSupport permitting efforts by coordinating with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) at the federal, state, and local levels.\nAttend in-person AHJ meetings as needed\nAct as a coordination point between internal engineering teams, external consultants, and AHJs.\nTrack engineering and permitting changes that may impact project scope, cost, or schedule and elevate risks appropriately.\nDevelop familiarity with AHJ requirements across jurisdictions and assist in communicating those requirements to internal teams.\nAssist with due diligence during RFP stages, including review of CUPs, environmental studies, wetlands permits, and related documentation.\nSupport preparation, QA/QC, and submission of permit applications.\n\nContract & Due Diligence Support\nReview EPC contract exhibits related to owner- and contractor-obtained permits and flag issues or inconsistencies.\nReview EPC contract exhibits for value engineering opportunities and compliance with SOLV standards\n\nProcess Support\nIdentify gaps in existing engineering process and workflow through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders\nDevelop process updates and standards to increase efficiency and value of overall Engineering team\nTrain up the team on process changes\n\nMinimum Skills or Experience Requirements:\n4–7 years of progressive engineering experience in EPC, renewable energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure projects.\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical or Solar focus preferred).\nEngineer-in-Training (F.E.)\nProficiency in AutoCAD.\nWorking knowledge of Primavera P6 or similar scheduling tools.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities in parallel.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.\nAbility to adapt and respond quickly in a fast-paced EPC environment.\nSelf-motivated with a strong sense of accountability.\nClear written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to travel up to 20% to project sites or partner offices and work in active construction environments, with reasonable accommodation\n\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.\n\nSOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity Employer\nAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
