Our poles are engineered for superior performance in the most demanding environments, providing utilities with a durable, low-maintenance, and sustainable solution for a more resilient grid.\nWith operations in North America and customers across 30+ countries, RS is a leader in grid resilience, driven by our values of Safety, Respect, Resilience, and Teamwork.\nTHE OPPORTUNITY\nWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operator to lead materials The primary purpose of the Mandrel Prep Operator is to assist the Production Department as needed to ensure successful completion of the production process.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nThis position is responsible for ensuring that RSUS schedules and ships its products accurately and on time. This includes:\nPerform cleaning and sealing and Bondo applications to all size mandrels\nOversee preheat oven temperatures to ensure accuracy, and proper mandrel preparation\nResponsible for tape application and security of spike rings as required\nKnowledge of walking beams operations, movement, and HMI panel operations\nResponsible for mandrel lubricant application\nAdhere to all related paperwork for efficient process flow\nAdhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirements\nReport on all equipment related issues to the Production Supervisor\nEnsure proper inventory of materials to perform the job\nAssist the Engineering Department in the research, trial/development, selection of new processes and equipment to improve the production process\nAssist in training and cross training production team members\nParticipating in continuous improvement activities\nMaintain a clean and safe work environment\nComply with all Company Safety rules, Provincial and Federal Rules and Regulations\nOther duties as assigned\nWHAT YOU BRING\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent\n1 year of experience in a manufacturing\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nIndustrial production environment\nHot & humid areas within the plant\nPhysically demanding tasks\nInteraction with heavy machinery, moving equipment and limited movement of chemicals within the production area\nWHAT WE OFFER\nCompetitive salary and performance-based incentives.\nComprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits.\nRetirement savings plans with company contributions.\nEmployer-paid life and short-term disability insurance.\nOptional additional coverage (life, long-term disability).\nGenerous paid time off and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).\nOpportunities for growth and development within a global, forward-thinking company.\nWhy Join Us?\nAt RS, you'll play a key role in strengthening the quality foundation that supports our continued growth.
