VP of Originations

J.J. Astor provides bridge financing solutions for private and public companies to accelerate their growth. This role requires a significant amount of time building relationships and speaking with business owners in the private and public markets. This position will drive these relationships forward through email, phone calls and conferences to establish a relationship with key decision makers. The candidate will also be responsible for financial analysis, qualifying deals and working with the companies to get to a term sheet. Responsibilities: Identifying and reaching out to C Level executives at businesses. Managing their database of prospective borrowers and continue to grow that database through relationship building. Qualifying and analyzing deals based on JJ Astor investment criteria. Working with the underwriting team to carry the deal through the diligence process. Working with investing and senior management team to evaluate and execute deals. Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience in a business development and/or sales role. Experience working for a bank or online lending platform preferred. Desire to work in a fast paced sales environment. BA degree required. Strong interest in business development, capital markets and private equity. Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with senior managment.
