After a careful onboarding, you will have high involvement in creating modern storefronts, custom Shopify themes, and bespoke user experiences, contributing directly to technical execution and design-to-code precision within our distributed engineering team.\nYou will work primarily with Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript, and modern frontend tooling, along with Shopify’s Storefront API and headless architectures where applicable. You will be part of our team in Portugal, working collaboratively with our delivery, design, and engineering teams.\nYOUR RESPONSIBILITIES\nDevelop, customize, and maintain robust, high-converting Shopify and Shopify Plus themes.\nTranslate complex UI/UX design mockups into clean, performant, and responsive cross-browser frontend code.\nAnalyze client requests and adapt technical solutions to balance client goals with code quality and platform best practices.\nParticipate in client meetings to clarify technical requirements, present options, and demonstrate solutions.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, estimate, document, and evaluate technical tasks and architectures.\nOptimize Shopify storefronts for maximum speed, web performance (Core Web Vitals), SEO, and accessibility standards.\nIntegrate third-party Shopify apps, custom apps, and APIs to extend store functionality.\nEstablish and promote frontend best practices, code consistency, and reusable component libraries.\nWork closely with QA and delivery teams to ensure deliverables meet stringent performance and usability standards.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\nAt least 3 years of professional experience in frontend web development.\nAt least 2 years of hands-on experience building custom themes and storefronts on Shopify / Shopify Plus, including experience with theme app extensions and Shopify Plus checkout extensibility as a strong plus.\nDeep mastery of Shopify Liquid template language, theme architecture, and Online Store 2.0 features.\nStrong expertise in HTML5, CSS3, SCSS/Sass, JavaScript (ES6+), and asynchronous API integration (REST / GraphQL).\nSolid experience with modern build tools, version control, and CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub/GitLab, npm/yarn, Webpack/Vite).\nExperience with headless commerce concepts or Shopify Storefront API (Hydrogen/React) is a strong plus.\nExperience with B2B storefront features and international storefronts using Shopify Markets is a strong plus.\nExperience in an agency, consultancy, or fast-paced digital product environment.\nFamiliarity with agile methodologies and project management platforms like JIRA.\nStrong focus on web performance optimization, mobile-first design, accessibility, and SEO best practices.\nGreat problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented and quality-focused mindset.\nWillingness to continuously learn, adapt to new technologies, and share knowledge across teams.\nFluent in English, both written and spoken.\nWHAT WE OFFER\nOpportunity to participate in innovative projects, creating disruptive digital experiences for our clients around Europe.
