Documents may include credit, title, appraisals, credit documents, property valuation, loan-to-value ratios, and debt carried. Manual Frontline Underwriting experience is required to perform this job.\r\nQualifications\r\n\r\nCollege Degree or equivalent work-related experience, and High School Diploma or equivalency required\r\nAt least 3 years of recent experience in conventional and government underwriting and Quality Assurance/Quality Control function in the mortgage banking industry\r\nExperience in quality assurance services in a multiple client environment a plus\r\nA strong working knowledge of calculating and verifying income & assets, and evaluating credit reports, purchase contracts, appraisals, title commitments, and other loan pertinent documentation\r\nIn depth working knowledge of AUS systems, including Loan Prospector and Desktop Underwriter\r\nMust have manual underwriting experience, as well as automated\r\nMust have held previous signing authority\r\nAt least an Intermediate level user of Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Word and Excel\r\nStrong written communication skills\r\nAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workloads\r\nKnowledge of all conventional and government underwriting guidelines for agencies\r\n\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\n\r\nAudit a minimum of 8 files per day relating to credit, collateral, and capacity AND maintain a 98% rate of accuracy\r\nAnalyze calculations and verifications of income & assets, and evaluations of credit reports, purchase contracts, appraisals, title commitments, and other loan pertinent documentation\r\nEnter review results into company's proprietary software\r\nStay current on all agency, state and federal guidelines, and participate in on-going training as industry evolves\r\nReview internal audit results, and discuss feedback with team lead/manager for response\r\nWork well with others including mentoring new hires or junior level analysts as needed\r\nManage time efficiently and prioritize workloads to meet strict deadlines while handling multiple tasks\r\nBe flexible in the work environment\r\nConduct all activities and interactions in a professional manner\r\nComplete company/client introductory training during orientation period\r\nAdhere to the company's policy and procedures.\r\nOther duties as assigned by manager\r\n\r\nFirstsource participates in E-Verify and we will provide the Social Security Administration (SSA) and, if necessary, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), with information from each new employee's I-9 to confirm work authorization.\r\nIt is the policy of this Company to seek and employ qualified individuals at all locations and facilities, and to provide equal employment opportunities for all applicants and employees in recruiting, hiring, placement, training, compensation, insurance, benefits, promotion, transfer, and termination.
