Alongside our own retail product lines, we partner with emerging and established brands to provide private label manufacturing, custom formulation development, and contract manufacturing solutions.At Natures Brands we are focused on developing innovative, high-quality products while supporting brands through every stage of product development and commercialization.Position OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Cosmetic Chemist / Product Development Specialist to support formulation development, product optimization, pilot batch manufacturing, and production scale-up activities across multiple cosmetic and personal care categories.This role requires a practical, detail-oriented, and organized individual who is comfortable working in product development and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate should have experience with cosmetic formulations, manufacturing support, troubleshooting, and product development within a fast-paced setting.The position will work closely with production, quality, and management teams to support both internal product lines and private label customer projects.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and improve skincare, haircare, cosmetic, and personal care formulationsCreate custom formulations for private label and contract manufacturing clientsPrepare formulation samples and pilot batches for evaluation and productionSupport formulation scale-up from product development to commercial manufacturingTroubleshoot formulation and manufacturing issues during productionCoordinate outsourced stability and product performance testing when requiredMaintain formulation documentation and batch recordsWork closely with production and quality teams to support manufacturing operationsEnsure product development activities comply with FDA cosmetic regulations and cGMP standardsResearch new ingredients, formulation technologies, and industry trendsQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in cosmetic, skincare, haircare, or personal care product formulation highly preferredStrong understanding of emulsions, surfactants, preservatives, oils, botanical ingredients, and formulation stability principlesFamiliarity with formulation development procedures and pilot batch preparationKnowledge of manufacturing scale-up and batch troubleshooting preferredFamiliarity with GMP manufacturing environments and cosmetic regulatory standardsStrong problem-solving and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and collaboration skillsWork EnvironmentThis position involves hands-on product development and manufacturing support activities.
