The role involves monitoring compliance with contractual commitments and providing guidance, leadership, and expertise related to the installation, service, maintenance, and operation of mission-critical data center mechanical equipment.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nAll responsibilities of HVAC Tech 2.\r\nPerform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, routine and emergency repairs without supervision on HVAC equipment, including but not limited to:\r\nAir and water-cooled reciprocating chillers\r\nCentrifugal and screw package chillers\r\nNatural gas boilers and unit heaters\r\nElectric duct heaters\r\nCooling towers\r\nPneumatic, DDC, and Variable Frequency Drive controls\r\nHVAC air distribution systems, AHU's, FCU's, fans, and other devices used in air distribution\r\nVarious types of water pumps used in the HVAC industry\r\nMaintain, upgrade, and backup Building Automation Software as required.\r\nRespond to after-hours calls as required.\r\nSupervise and teach lower-grade technicians while improving own technical skills through experience and literature.\r\nPerform on-call after-hour assignments.\r\nPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor.\r\nMaintain regular and reliable attendance.\r\nAdditional Requirements\r\nMust be a US citizen.\r\nAble to obtain security clearance is preferred.\r\nQualifications\r\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\r\nSuccessful completion of basic air-conditioning theory class.\r\nProficient in the use of HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments.\r\nExperience with DDC, pneumatic, and variable frequency drive controls.\r\nMinimum of 7 years large commercial HVAC service experience required; 8 years preferred.\r\nPass or complete any required client background checks or training.\r\nProficient in Microsoft Office or related software.\r\nEnvironmental Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Certification required.\r\nCurrent/active AZ Journeyman HVAC license required.\r\nOSHA Certification required.\r\nClear and valid Virginia or Maryland driver's license required.\r\nUS citizen and able to obtain security clearance is preferred.\r\nNo supervisory responsibilities with this position.\r\nPhysical demands: regularly required to sit; standing and walking required; moderate noise level; ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.\r\nCompensation\r\nPay Range: $56,602 – $84,903 per hour.\r\nPre-Employment Requirements\r\nEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and MVR review in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.\r\nEEO Statement\r\nCPG is an equal-opportunity employer.
