Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview:They need someone to join hardware management teamThe team:Supports private cloud infrastructureProvides hardware infrastructure for internal developersThey don't run the applications... they provide the infrastructure.Looking for :A mid-level career kind of person.Someone familiar with operating hardware environments at scaleSomeone open to learning and scaling upHardware Platforms:Their environment includes:Cisco UCS (primary)Dell server hardwareSome Client hardwareCore Responsibilities:Work as hardware lifecycle management.Responsibilities include:Installing equipmentFirmware upgradesRepairsMaintenanceDecommissioning hardwareRack & Stack Work:Physical data center work is not the main job.There is a separate data center operations team that handles unboxing, racking and cabling.And:Once all the cables are plugged in - that's where they start.Interaction With Other TeamsFamiliarity with these areas :NetworkingStorageOS / applicationsTop Must-Haves:~Server Hardware / Infrastructure ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with server hardware in an enterprise or service provider environment.~Data Center Networking ConceptsThey don t need networking skills... they need familiarity with how systems interact with the network.Automation Ability:Ability to automate infrastructure operations to reduce manual work.-Nice-to-Have SkillsTools like:OME (OpenManage Enterprise)OneView-Experience With ScaleIf someone has experience running a fleet of a few hundred... they run a few thousand.On-Call Requirement:24-hour on-callRotation basedLocation : Strong preference for candidate in Lehi, UT
