This role serves as a liaison between the company, the customer representative, and the golf shop on matters related to daily course operations. The Superintendent is easily contacted and remains in contact with the key employees on the golf course at all times.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nPlan, organize, and direct maintenance of all areas within the scope and according to the technical specifications of the contract\nPartner with the customer to understand or develop a long-term property improvement plan\nSupervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment assigned to the course\nPrepare and operate within annual budget estimates\nPrepare and follow an annual agronomic plan that operates within the technical specifications of the contract and the annual budget\nProcure and manage supplies and materials to support maintenance activities\nCreate and distribute reports of maintenance activities as required\nManage golf course employees, including interviewing, hiring, training, discipline, and separation\nProtect the company's interest through an awareness of and compliance with all applicable regulations, including course and company policies\nAdminister all aspects of the BrightView Safety Program and the BrightView BV360 Management Program\nRepresent BrightView Golf Maintenance positively and professionally, including attitude, appearance, and speech\nMaintain effective employee and public relations\nMeet or exceed external and internal customer expectations\nEducation and Experience:\nExperience in all phases of golf course management and turf culture\nWorking knowledge of the construction, establishment, and maintenance practices employed on golf course putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers\nDegree or advanced knowledge of agronomy, horticulture, plant, or soil science\nHigh degree of administrative and executive ability, including effective oral and written communication skills and computer proficiency\nCertified and /or licensed for pesticide usage\nFamiliar with the characteristics and proper use of fertilizers and soil conditioners\nKnowledge of irrigation, including watering practices, irrigation systems, pumps, wells, and automatic controls and drainage\nAbility to prepare the course for play in accordance with the rules of golf\nAbility to evaluate the course from the player's perspective\nValid driver's license\nPhysical Demands/Requirements:\nConstant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, photocopier, and computer printer\nAbility to physically perform the basic life operational functions of walking, standing, and kneeling\nAbility to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known\nallergic reactions should they occur.\nWork Environment:\nWork in an indoor office and also outdoors during site walkthroughs and site supervision duties\nBrightView Landscapes, LLC is an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify Employer.
