Assistant Property Manager
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled property manager assistant to help the property manager oversee the building and grounds of The Emmaus Homeless Shelter and a nearby rental building. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the buildings, ensuring safety and building code compliance. This position may offer additional hours up to 40 hours at a later date.
Duties:
- Train with the property manager and take guidance on operations until their retirement in January 2025
- Conduct property inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs with the Emmaus Shelter director
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain food storage rooms and distribute food to the public
- Complete weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual tasks in an organized and efficient manner
Experience:
- Proven experience in property management
- Ability to represent our organization and interact with the public
- Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to issues of homelessness and poverty
- Understanding of property law and regulations
- Ability to set strong boundaries and work independently
- This position requires ability to go up and down stairs regularly and lift up to 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
