This full-time, regular position is ideal for an engineer with experience in RF test design, radome analysis, and electromagnetic performance evaluation within a dynamic DoD environment. In this role, you will support the development, execution, and analysis of RF test methodologies used to evaluate radome and antenna system performance. You will work closely with systems, test, and integration teams to ensure RF performance meets mission and platform requirements. Your technical expertise in RF measurement, data analysis, and test design will be critical in identifying performance impacts and improving overall system effectiveness.\n\nThis role requires in-person support.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nDevelop and execute RF test plans for radome characterization, including insertion loss, transmission efficiency, boresight error, phase distortion, and polarization effects\n\nDesign and implement far-field and near-field RF test procedures in anechoic chamber environments\n\nUtilize RF test equipment such as Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, and signal generators to evaluate system performance\n\nAnalyze radome impacts on antenna radiation patterns, beam steering, and overall RF system effectiveness\n\nSupport electromagnetic modeling and simulation using tools such as ANSYS HFSS and CST Studio Suite\n\nCorrelate simulated and measured RF performance and perform sensitivity and trade studies\n\nDevelop and support RF test fixture conceptual designs and measurement setups\n\nConduct data analysis, error budgeting, and root cause investigations for RF anomalies and performance degradation\n\nSupport Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events, including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR\n\nCoordinate across engineering, test, and program teams to support integration and test activities\n\nLead or support environmental and operational RF performance evaluations (temperature, structural, and weather effects)\n\nDesired Education\n\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Physics, or related technical field\n\nDesired Experience\n\nMinimum three (3) years of experience in RF engineering, antenna systems, or radome performance evaluation\n\nExperience with RF Test Design experience (Power Level / Transmission Loss, Boresight Error, Phase Error / Distortion, Polarization) and execution, including Far Field RF testing in anechoic chambers\n\nHands‑on experience with RF measurement equipment (e.g., VNA, spectrum analyzers)\n\nExperience analyzing RF parameters such as transmission loss, phase error, polarization, and boresight error\n\nFamiliarity with Test Fixture conceptual design\n\nFamiliarity with Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) processes\n\nAbility to lead people and coordinate efforts\n\nPreferred Experience\n\nExperience supporting airborne radar or antenna systems (P-8 or similar ISR platforms preferred)\n\nRadome design, analysis, or electromagnetic performance modeling experience\n\nExperience with electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, CST, or similar)\n\nExperience with automated test development using MATLAB or PythonFamiliarity with environmental impacts on RF performance (thermal, vibration, moisture)\n\nExperience supporting DoD or Navy acquisition programs\n\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
