Technical Trainer

This position plays a key role in the onboarding of new hires both locally and remotely and facilitates continuing education trainings, development and presentation of training curriculum, and maintenance of Lightedge technical documentation as necessary. This position reports to the Manager of Education Services and works closely with all departments to ensure continued customer and employee success.Responsibilities:Prepare and conduct technical training programs and sessions for new hires and existing employeesCreate and maintain technical documentation and curriculum used by Operations Teams including but not limited to:Knowledge Base ArticlesTraining VideosLive Training TemplatesPresentation MaterialsAssist with identifying training resources to define operational growth pathsPresent training workshop and refresher courses to employeesIdentify operational problems and determine specific training needsConduct individual and team skill gap analysisGather feedback from trainees and instructors and recommend suggestions to the learning processTrack training tasks and goals in applicable platformsEducation and Experience:Presentation ExperienceExcellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical and non-technical processesProcess / Documentation CreationExperience providing technical trainingExperience with trouble ticketing platformsExperience with knowledge management platformsDemonstrated technical support history and understanding of technical problem resolutionAdditional certification in training (e.g. Certified Technical Trainer) is a plusPreferred SkillsFortinet/Palo Alto FirewallsWindows / Linux / AIX OSCisco Switching and RoutingVMware (ESXI, VCD, and VCF)Monitoring PlatformsBackup Solutions (Veeam/Zerto)IBM i (as400)With over 20 years in business, LightEdge offers a full stack of best-in-class IT services delivering flexibility, security, and control.
