Systems engineers work on all stages of a project, from development through installation and commissioning. The type of work will include feasibility, scheduling, sizing, and analysis to ensure Chart engineering design standards and customer specifications and needs are met.\nThis position will be located in New Prague, MN.\nWhat Will You Do?\nCreate plans, designs and customer solutions for assigned projects.\nDevelop and maintain process instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) based on customer specifications as required for the project.\nPerform various calculations and analyses such as, but not limited to, fluid flow analysis, heat leak, pressure-building, heat exchanger sizing, and/or piping and valve sizing.\nAssist designers in developing general arrangement and assembly drawings for manufacturing.\nWork with sales teams and customers to gain a better understanding of the system requirements and their implications to the system design and proposed solution.\nWork with strategic suppliers to determine the correct components to be used in systems.\nProvide regular updates of design status, drawings, Bills of Material (BOMs) and purchased equipment to project management.\nWork with the shop and project management to meet customer and engineering requirements for fabrication, assembly and shipping.\nSupport shop personnel during fabrication.\nConduct onsite field checkouts and commissioning of equipment.\nOn occasion, support the Proposals Team with quotation assistance.\nOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.\nYour Physical Work Environment Will Require…\nPrimarily an Office Environment\nIn-office position during training. Then after training, a hybrid (in-office/remote) schedule can be worked out with management.\nOffice locations is in New Prague, MN.\nWork-related travel may be required (approximately 10% maximum)\nUse hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms\nFrequent lifting and carrying up to 15 lbs. and occasionally heavier with assistance\nFrequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking\nFrequent pushing, pulling and handling of materials\nWhen in the production environment:\nExposure to metal cutting, welding odors, welding flash and incidental acceptable limits of x-ray radiation\nPossible exposure to chemical odors and temperature extremes\nExposure to overhead objects and occasional flying debris\nRequired use of safety glasses with side shields, ANSI approved steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection and hard hat\nYour Experience Should Be...\n\n2 years of experience preferred in engineering, design, fabrication and commissioning of mechanical equipment used in the pressure vessel, boiler, oil and gas, industrial gas, or hydrogen industries.\nWorking knowledge of industrial codes and common engineering practices used within the oil and gas industry.
