This role will include manufacturing support, utilizing product sizing software to select the ideal product for customer requirements, and supporting the Sales Team by modeling customer specific designs in 3D CAD with a 2D detailed drawing. Products include pressure vessels such as oil separators, receivers, accumulators, oil filters, condensers, and evaporators, as well as level and pressure detection devices and a range of replacement parts. More than a supplier, Westermeyer Industries is dedicated to engineering creativity and design ingenuity, offering catalog products and custom solutions alike.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS\n\nCreate 3D models & 2D drawings with Autodesk Inventor\n\nUtilize CFD software to either revise existing designs or to brainstorm new concepts that could be offered as a next generation line of products\n\nSupport the Sales Team by creating variations of current products to meet customer requirements.\n\nPerform product testing in the onsite Engineering Lab. Various refrigeration systems are available to expose the design under test to varying thermal loads and flow rates\n\nConduct thermal load calculations for sizing of refrigerant to fluid shell and tube heat exchangers.\n\nBecome familiarized with Robotic Handling and Robotic Welding Systems\n\nRegular exposure to the ASME Pressure Vessel Code\n\nConfer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes\n\nSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS\n\nEngineering and Technology: Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. An individual with a passion for thermal sciences, heat transfer, and fluid flow will excel at this position. Ideally would be very familiar with the thermodynamic cycle of a vapor compression system, with typical fluorocarbons or carbon dioxide as the working refrigerant.\n\nComputers: Experience with 2D & 3D CAD.
