This position will focus on developing and optimizing processes for cutting-edge fiber-optic Optical Circuit Switch (OCS) products, supporting next-generation AI Clusters and Data Centers.The ideal candidate will work within a dynamic, cross-functional team – including product line management, electrical, mechanical, optical, and systems R&D, test and automation, and manufacturing, etc. The candidate will collaborate with colleagues across global sites and engage with internal and external component suppliers.What You Will DoLead process design and development for Optical Circuit Switch (OCS) products, working closely with senior engineers and managersOwn process development for final assembly and system-level integration of the OCS productsDrive calibration and test of process development with the testing engineering teamsPartner with reliability engineering teams for quality assurance and reliability testingContinuously improve OCS process platform for performance, yield, and reliabilityProvide technical guidance and support to technicians and peer engineers of the R&D teamDevelop and maintain detailed process documentation following the ISO standardsCoordinate cross-functional product activities (engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and quality) through the engineering change request (ECO) proceduresWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Master’s degree in physical science or engineering discipline with an optical orientationAt least 5 years of process development experience in optical products, with a focus on fiber-optic systems and componentsHands-on experience in fiber optical system integration, calibration, and testingExperience with optical assemblies with application of optical adhesives, solders, etcFamiliar with the opto-mechanical design concept and principlesProficient with measurement instruments such as optical power meters, OSA, and Oscilloscopes.Experienced in experimental data analysis and proficient in programming (e.g. Python)Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)Experience in project planning, scheduling & risk analysis, and mitigationFamiliar with new product introduction (NPI) processesWhat Will Put You AheadPh.D. degreeBilingual in MandarinExperience with building the calibration and testing system for optical productsExperience with developing the calibration and testing algorithms for optical productsFor this role, we anticipate paying $140,000 - $210,000 per year.
