This role requires a hands-on retail professional with deep expertise in store management, merchandising, buying, inventory control, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will drive revenue, elevate the customer experience, and ensure operational excellence while supporting the Florida Panthers brand.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily store operations, including sales performance, merchandising, inventory, and customer serviceManage the full merchandise lifecycle: buying, vendor relationships, product selection, and inventory planningDevelop and execute budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions as neededLead, train, and develop retail staff; recruit and build a high-performing teamMaintain optimal inventory levels through sales analysis, allocation, and replenishment strategiesPartner with vendors and internal teams to ensure product quality, timely delivery, and strong assortmentsCreate visually compelling, brand-aligned merchandising displays that enhance the shopping experienceEnsure accuracy across purchase orders, reporting, and inventory systemsDrive compliance with loss prevention, safety, and cash-handling proceduresDeliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues professionallyCollaborate across departments and support special projects as neededTravel between Panthers Ice Den, War Memorial, and Amerant Bank Arena as requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field7+ years of retail experience, including store management, buying, and planning3+ years in a leadership role within a sports or entertainment retail environmentProven ability to manage all facets of a retail store operationHockey and Figure equipment expertise preferredSkills & ExpertiseStrong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and merchandising strategyExperience with Retail Pro POS or similar systemFamiliarity with hockey and figure skating equipment and fittingDemonstrated leadership with the ability to train, motivate, and develop teamsHighly organized with strong project management and multitasking abilitiesFinancial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving profitabilityExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsProficient in Microsoft Office; adaptable to new systemsCustomer-focused with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindsetAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and occassional holidaysCapable of lifting up to 50 lbsPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time exempt position.
