Reference Data Business AnalystLocation: Tampa FLMUST BE LOCAL to Tampa areaHybrid (2 days in Tampa office)Interview mode: VideoMUST HAVE BANKING EXPERIENCERole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Reference Data Business Analyst to support enterprise data initiatives across trading, risk, operations, and regulatory reporting. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of financial instruments, market data, and security master data, with the ability to bridge business stakeholders and technology teams.ResponsibilitiesGather, analyze, and document business requirements related to security master, pricing, corporate actions, counterparty, and instrument reference dataPartner with Front Office, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to define data standards and governance controlsMap data lineage and perform gap analysis across upstream and downstream systemsSupport implementation of data platforms (e.g., golden source, MDM, data lakes)Define data quality rules, controls, and KPIsWork on regulatory initiatives (e.g., CAT, TRACE, EMIR, SFTR, SEC reporting)Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process flowsAssist with UAT coordination and defect resolutionSupport data reconciliation and remediation effortsRequired Experience5+ years as a Business Analyst within capital markets or bankingStrong understanding of:Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Structured ProductsSecurity identifiers (CUSIP, ISIN, SEDOL, Bloomberg, Reuters)Pricing & valuation dataCorporate actions processingExperience with data governance frameworks and data quality controlsFamiliarity with SQL and ability to query large datasetsExperience with vendor data feeds (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, ICE, Markit)Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirementsPreferred QualificationsExperience with MDM platforms (e.g., GoldenSource, Informatica MDM, Markit EDM)Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake)Experience in Agile/Scrum environmentsUnderstanding of data lineage and metadata tools (Collibra, Alation)Key CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to translate business needs into technical specificationsStakeholder management across multiple functionsAttention to detail and data accuracyExcellent communication skills
