{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"bda2a3f18c8f26a99eac248f","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/bda2a3f18c8f26a99eac248f","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/bda2a3f18c8f26a99eac248f","title":"Project Engineer","description":"Job Title: GSP Project Engineer\nDuration: 09+ Months\nLocation: MOUNT STORM, WV 26739\nNote*: Eligible candidates will receive a per diem allowance\nJob Summary:\nThe Project Engineer is the technical coordinator of all engineering tasks for the project(s), the engineering subject matter expert (SME) during RFP and Bid Reviews, and assists the Project Leader/Project Manager with coordinating related project tasks.\nResponsibilities:\nEnsure all projects are executed with Safety and Environmental Compliance as the primary focus of all personnel supporting his/her projects.\nWork with Project Leader/Manager to understand project scopes and help develop written scopes of work, including scopes of work specifically for a contracted Owners Engineer (OE).\nInterface with PG Engineering, Station Management, and other departments as needed to help develop the project.\nAssist Project Leader/Manager with RFP and Bid Review processes.\nDevelop engineering specifications for RFP and review/revise specifications and guidance as needed.\nManage the Request For Information (RFI) process on behalf of Project Leader/Manager.\nSpecifically for OE bids:\no Review all development information submitted by OE or acquired by external developer.\no Review land utilization by OE as applicable.\no Review overall site design by OE as applicable.\no Review energy performance by OE as applicable.\no Review Zoning/Land Use Permit requirements.\nSpecifically for EPC bids:\no Provide and coordinate project information for EPC RFP process.\no Coordinate Review of EPC submittals by OE.\no Develop project-specific EPC exhibits.\no Confirm project AC capacity and design for interconnections as applicable.\no Review EPC proposals and identify spec deviations and exclusions from EPC bid required standards.\no Review EPC proposal site plans and technical data.\no Review EPC proposed specification changes with internal project stakeholders.\nAssist Project Leader/Manager on developing/reviewing a Bid Review Matrix, provide guidance and knowledge to aid in the determination of the chosen bidder.\nManage/coordinate engineering questions, answers, reviewing and technical troubleshooting with the OE and/or chosen bidder (EPC).\nCoordinate engineering reviews with appropriate counterparts in PG Engineering.\nWork with Project Leader/Project Manager to ensure engineering deliverables are met as agreed to in a contract\nReview work in the field with compliance to engineering specifications as laid out in the contract\nProvide knowledge and troubleshooting assistance during the startup and commissioning of the project(s).\nAssist the Project Leader/Project Manager with other tasks as directed.\nQualifications/Experience:\nDemonstrates skill in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work to meet deadlines.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.\nAbility to develop, manage and monitor project engineering performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules.\nAbility to coordinate the resolution of technical problems and implement changes.\nSkilled in problem solving, attention to detail. Skilled in comparing construction specifications and material requirements to physical and material work products.\nSkilled in reading and interpreting manuals, technical instructions and drawings, with an ability to accurately prepare brief written reports.\nSkilled in use of personal computer and Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook).\nBS degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering preferred.\nMinimum 5 years as project engineer or assisting a project manager in multi-functional teams in a matrix environment.\nJob Type: Contract\nPay: Up to $60.00 per
