This position requires an individual whohas solid understanding of environmental compliance regulations with the ability to apply this experience evaluating current and newMicrochip products.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Microchip’s disclosures related to Product Material Compliance, Responsible Mineral Sourcing, and SustainabilityConduct due diligence product and supply-chain reviews in support of PMC disclosure activities and auditing processes by utilizing variousdata sources (internal systems, external supply chain as well as third-party service providers)Respond to internal and external customer requests for material compliance information (conduct data analysis and create materialdeclarations)Research and communicate material compliance requirements and industry best practices for current and new productsContribute to review and enhancement of policies and processes to ensure product compliancePrepare and maintain custom reports and interactive dashboardsMaintain records to support safety and complianceRequirements/QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or Environmental Engineering; Masters Degree a plusExceptional knowledge of global environmental compliance directives, regulations, and standards, including EU ROHS, WEEE, REACH,WFD (SCIP), PROP 65, and conflict minerals4+ years of experience in Product Material Compliance1+ years of experience in Semiconductor IndustryAbility to work within all levels of organization to ensure complianceStrong analytical skills and attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and multi-taskProficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and PowerPointTravel Time0% - 25%Physical AttributesHearing, Seeing, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around OthersPhysical Requirements80% sitting, 10% standing, 10% walkingPay RangeWe offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.
