Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country.\n\nDescription\nCaptivation Software is looking for a mid level systems engineer who shall implement and maintain operational data flows for a large high performance computing system. The System Engineer shall be responsible for ensuring all data handling requirements are met for data storage, data transport, data security and data compliance, as well as accurate upkeep of knowledge store management. Additional tasking includes working with various mission customers and multiple teams to coordinate on tasks needed, as well as perform exploratory data analysis on raw data to clean, enrich, transform, and convert the raw data into the required formats.\n\nThis position requires the candidate to be on call.\n\nRequirements\nSecurity Clearance:\nMust currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen\nMinimum Qualifications:\nSeven (7) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required\nBachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required\nFive (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.\nRequired Skills:\nExperience using the Linux CLI\nExperience implementing and maintaining operational data flows\nWillingness to learn Apache NiFi to process and distribute data\nExperience with Corporate data flow processes and tools\nExperience with Corporate data security and compliance procedures and policies\nExperience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)\nDesired Skills:\nExperience writing scripts using Bash/Python\nExperience with time-series visualization tools such as Grafana\n\nThis position is open for direct hires only.
