The selected candidate shall provide network analysis, design, implementation, and troubleshooting services to engineer, evaluate, and recommend secure network solutions that meet mission requirements and optimize network/system performance.\nThis position supports secure, multi-transport hub-and-spoke architectures in direct support of deployable aviation platforms and ground network environments.\nA Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required to be considered for the position.\nResponsibilities:\nResponsible for the design, implementation, testing, operations, and maintenance of secure enterprise and deployable network architectures.\nSpecific responsibilities include:\nEngineer and maintain Cisco IOS-XE routing platforms in complex hub-and-spoke environments\nImplement and troubleshoot IKEv2/IPSEC (FlexVPN) secure overlay architectures\nDesign and support Front-Door VRF (FVRF) architectures for multi-transport WAN environments\nConfigure and validate BGP peering, route filtering (prefix-lists/route-maps), and community-based policy control\nSupport integration and troubleshooting with Type I encryption devices (e.g., TACLANE KG-175 series)\nAnalyze and resolve Security Association (SA) establishment and encrypted traffic flow issues\nValidate traffic symmetry and PACE-based failover behavior across multiple transport paths\nBuild and replicate production scenarios in lab environments (GNS3, CML, virtual routers) prior to deployment\nDevelop and execute structured test plans for new integrations, enhancements, and issue reproduction\nProvide advanced troubleshooting across routing, encryption, transport, and policy layers\nProduce clear, structured technical documentation and network diagrams\nCollaborate across engineering, operations, and mission stakeholders to support secure communications environments\nEquipment / Tool Familiarity:\nCisco IOS-XE routers and switches\nPalo Alto firewalls\nGeneral Dynamics TACLANE KG-175 series (Type I encryption devices)\nBGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols\nIPSEC / IKEv2 / FlexVPN architectures\nMulti-transport WAN architectures (commercial SATCOM familiarity preferred)\nNetwork monitoring and logging platforms (Splunk, SolarWinds)\nVMware virtualized environments\nCisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)\nSpectracom SecureSync (NTP servers)\nCisco voice technologies (CUCM, CUBE, CME) - familiarity preferred\nTechnical Skills:\nStrong understanding of hub-and-spoke network design principles\nExperience implementing secure encrypted overlays across diverse transport mediums\nAdvanced troubleshooting of IPSEC/IKEv2 and BGP interactions\nExperience implementing route filtering and policy enforcement using prefix-lists and route-maps\nAbility to analyze routing asymmetry and traffic path selection\nFamiliarity with multi-transport resiliency models and PACE-based routing strategies\nAbility to independently design, test, validate, and implement network changes\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nStrong and ample experience documenting and diagramming network architectures\nExposure to network automation frameworks (Python, Ansible, structured configuration templates) – strongly preferred\nEducation:\nBA/BS + 7 years of experience\nCertifications:\nCCNP Required\nMust meet 8140 IAT II certification\nDesired:\nCCIE, CISSP, Palo Alto certifications, Cisco voice/security certifications\nClearance:\nA Secret clearance and U.S. Citizenship are required to be considered for the position.\nFEDITC, LLC. provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
