Assembles boxes, applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets. Places product on conveying systems and supports machine operators with basic material replenishments.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:\n\nSafely, efficiently, and accurately performs the duties and responsibilities of a Hand Packer.\nFollows the standard operating procedures.\nFully engages in all safety, quality, and other company programs.\nUnderstands and can perform lockout tagout (LOTO) and other processes to assure safety for self and others on qualified machines.\nConducts self and encourages coworkers to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with Company mission, values, and code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.\nPerforms basic quality control checks, including accurate packaging, package counts, dates, and weights, and evaluates product or package appearance.\nComplies with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Danone’s production standards that ensure products are made under industry-standard conditions.\nPrepares and packages products manually.\nFolds and tapes box, applies labels, and stacks boxes on proficiently, effectively on pallets.\nMaintains an organized and clean work area and sorts materials as directed by leadership and operators.\nMoves pallets using an electric pallet jack safely to finished goods storage.\nLoads product and materials on the lines to support machine operators.\nTracks production efficiencies using various methods.\nConducts basic troubleshooting and escalates problems to leadership in a timely manner.\nPerforms other duties as assigned or requested.\n\nAbout you\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE – REQUIRED:\n\nHigh School diploma or GED equivalent.\nBasic computer skills (keyboarding, email, data entry).\n\nEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE – PREFERRED:\n\nMinimum 6 months of successful work experience that involves accuracy, dependability, and teamwork, ideally in a food production environment.\nDemonstrated mechanical aptitude.\n\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\n\nMaintains a safe working environment, functioning as a member of a cooperative team and safely performs job duties.\nReads, writes, speaks, interprets, and understands English written and verbal instructions, policies, and procedures.\nApply basic mathematical skills such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide.\nDemonstrated manual dexterity, packing product into multi-packs at the rate of 140-180 pieces per minute.\nDemonstrated high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.\nDemonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency in varying temperature environments.\nDemonstrated ability to use push/pull cart, electric pallet jack, taper, shrink wrap.\nMust be able to obtain company certification in the safe and proper use of an electric pallet jack.\nAbout us\nDanone U.S. is part of Danone North America, a purpose-driven company and an industry leader in the food and beverage category.
