Human Resources Business Partner
PurposeThe Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in aligning human resources strategies with business objectives for assigned business units. This position acts as a strategic advisor and consultant to leadership, driving initiatives that enhance organizational performance, foster employee engagement, and support a values-driven culture. The HRBP partners cross-functionally to implement HR programs and practices, ensures compliance with applicable laws, and drives workforce planning and development initiatives that meet current and future business needs. Key ResponsibilitiesServes as HR Business Partner to assigned business units on strategic HR & workforce initiatives, by advising managers and leaders with solutions for human resources issues to align with evolving organizational needsCollaborates with HR and organizational leadership to develop and implement policies and programs that reflect the organization's mission and values, support company goals, achieve objectives, and positively engage the workforceEnsures consistent adherence and application of Company policies and all federal, state, and employment lawsReviews the analysis of trends and development of workforce plans to resolve issues and make a positive impact on business resultsProvides change-management support or leadership as neededUses working knowledge of the business to provide HR support and guidanceActs as a liaison with other HR functions to collaborate on shared team goals and responsibilities Collaborates with other internal teams including Manufacturing, Commercial, Finance and Resources as needed to achieve objectivesCoaches, guides, and mentors management members in all things related to team member management, including conversation management, development, and corrective actionsPartners with Talent Acquisition team in establishing and cultivating relationships with targeted Universities and CollegesServes as HR subject matter expert, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to HR team members across functions, fostering collaboration and professional developmentProvides tactical HR support and administration as needed Champion Roseburg core valuesOther duties as assigned Required QualificationsEight (8) years related work experience in human resources OR an equivalent amount of training, education, and experienceExcellent listening, written and oral communication skillsStrong background and interest in Organizational development and non-traditional work systemsExcellent problem solving and Critical thinking skillsWorking knowledge of federal and state legal requirements and labor laws Basic understanding of NLRA and applicationsMaintain the highest ethical standards in dealing with confidential informationAbility to work in and maintain a highly functional team environmentProficiency in Word and ExcelProven leader and results drivenExcellent overall interpersonal skills Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related fieldsAbout Roseburg Forest ProductsFounded in 1936, Roseburg Forest Products is a privately held company based in Springfield, Oregon.
