Role SummaryWe are hiring commercial-licensed truck drivers (CDL) to support a long-distance mapping and data-collection program within the transportation sector. This role involves frequent travel and operation along multi-state routes, with scheduled overnight layovers as part of planned rotations. Drivers will work in a two-shift structure and support basic field-operator tasks related to sensor readiness, including cleaning and simple reset procedures. This is a field operations position requiring strict compliance with DOT regulations and adherence to predictable rotation and shift planning.Key Responsibilities:Operate commercial vehicles on long-distance, multi-state routes in accordance with dispatch instructionsFollow assigned route plans, shift schedules, and rotation calendarsSupport overnight layovers as required, including up to five consecutive days away from home, utilizing a designated secure parking networkTechnical SupportPerform sensor hygiene and cleaning as part of pre-trip readiness, including lenses and exterior sensor surfacesExecute basic reboot and reset procedures when requested by dispatch, following provided instructions only (no independent technical troubleshooting)Complete all required checklists and readiness confirmations as trainedTraining & ComplianceComplete client-provided training and certification (approximately two weeks) delivered through the client’s Learning Management System (LMS)Adhere to program safety requirements, escalation procedures, and communication protocolsRequired Qualifications: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and legal authorization to work in the United StatesEnrollment in a DOT-compliant drug and alcohol testing program, including pre-employment and random testingValid medical qualification, including a DOT medical card or medical examiner’s certification, as applicableMotor Vehicle Record (MVR) meeting standard lookback requirements (typically the past three years)Employment history verification in accordance with standard DOT hiring practicesAbility and willingness to operate long-distance, multi-state routes with overnight travel, including up to five consecutive days away from homeAvailability and comfort working a two-shift operation (morning or late evening/night), as assignedPreferred QualificationsPrior experience supporting mapping, data-collection, fleet technology, telematics, or other specialized route-driving programsFamiliarity with long-haul operational discipline, including the use of secure truck parking networks and adherence to structured parking proceduresWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
