OUR PURPOSE: Creating packaging solutions for life's essentials.\nJob Requisition #: 035168\nProduction Supervisor - 3rd Shift (Open)\nJob Description: ROLE OVERVIEW: Supervises larger, more complex teams of colleagues who perform multiple types of production activities (e.g., assembly, material forming/shaping, processing, treating, or packaging, etc.).\nKey Responsibilities Supervises the day-to-day activities of a more complex and possibly multi-line production operation and monitors colleague productivity.\nEffectively implements new performance management systems, production plans, and performance criteria.\nRuns shift meetings, confirms production progress, and responds to delays.\nCreates and implements group improvement plans.\nEnsures the team understands roles and responsibilities as they relate to the team and to Greif.\nEncourages joint problem solving, personal safety, and individual development.\nSupports Greif's mission, follows values of Greif and works to better Greif's business as a whole.\nImplements and enforces compliance with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.\nArrange work schedules to ensure efficient operations.\nMaintains knowledge of processes and equipment.\nTroubleshoots complex or advanced issues that arise.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEducation and Experience Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience, with previous supervisory experience.\nKnowledge and Skills In-depth understanding of production operations and processes.\nDemonstrated supervisory and leadership skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nDemonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.\nDemonstrated time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.\nAt Greif, we believe that our colleagues are the center of our success. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
