In this energetic role, you will be responsible for providing safe, engaging, and loving walks for a variety of dog breeds while ensuring their well-being and happiness. Responsibilities Lead energetic walks for dogs of different sizes and temperaments, ensuring safety at all times Monitor dog behavior and use animal handling techniques to manage various personalities effectively Provide basic pet care during walks, including hydration, cleaning up after dogs, and offering comfort when needed Follow specific training or behavioral instructions provided by pet owners or trainers Maintain detailed records of each walk, noting any health or behavioral concerns Communicate with pet owners about their dog’s activities, mood, and any incidents during walks Assist with pet sitting duties or additional animal care tasks as required Qualifications Proven experience in dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods Strong background in veterinary or veterinary technician experience is a plus Ability to handle animals safely during walks and perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.g., assisting larger dogs) Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners Familiarity with kennel experience, pet grooming, and general animal handling practices Prior experience with equine or other animal care is beneficial but not required A genuine passion for animals combined with a lively, positive attitude Embark on a rewarding journey where your love for animals fuels every step you take!
