Cage Cashier III
Cage Cashier IIIIt is the primary responsibility of the Cage Cashier III to accurately and efficiently perform monetary transactions and exchanges while delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced gaming environment. Responsibilities include cash handling, casino credit transactions, Title 31 compliance, balancing assigned banks, and supporting operational coverage across multiple cage functions. The Cage Cashier III may also provide guidance and operational support to team members and assist with departmental leadership responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, procedures, internal controls, gaming regulations, and service standards.Specific Job FunctionsDeliver professional, courteous, and efficient service to guests and team members at all timesRedeem gaming chips, slot tickets, and Race & Sports tickets in accordance with company proceduresProcess cash exchanges, front money deposits, marker payments, and customer withdrawals accurately and efficientlyIssue cage markers and process casino credit transactions in accordance with internal controls and gaming regulationsUtilize computer systems to process guest personal checks, payroll checks, and related financial transactionsProcess debit and credit card cash advance transactions through approved systemsHandle foreign currency exchanges and gaming chip transactionsMaintain accountability and accuracy of assigned bank, ensuring all transactions and documentation are properly organized and balancedAdhere to all Main Bank and Chip Bank turn-in procedures and timelinesMaintain proficiency in Front Window Bank, Employee Bank, Poker Cage, and Main/Fill Bank operationsAssist guests with casino credit applications and related inquiries in the absence of a Credit ClerkAssist in the training and support of Cage Cashiers and newly assigned team membersProvide operational support and leadership coverage in the absence of the Cage Shift SupervisorMaintain thorough knowledge of Title 31 regulations, anti-money laundering procedures, and gaming compliance standardsAccurately enter cash transactions and negotiable instruments into the Title 31 Resort Advantage systemBalance assigned bank at the beginning and end of each shift in accordance with departmental proceduresStrictly adhere to all gaming regulations, internal controls, company policies, and cash handling proceduresImmediately report discrepancies, suspicious activity, or compliance concerns to leadershipPerform all other job-related duties as assignedQualificationsMust be at least 21 years of ageMinimum one (1) year prior high-volume cash handling experience requiredPrevious cage cashier, casino cashiering, banking, or gaming finance experience preferredStrong guest service and interpersonal communication skills requiredExcellent money handling, balancing, and mathematical skills requiredBasic computer proficiency and ability to operate financial transaction systems requiredKnowledge of Title 31 regulations, anti-money laundering procedures, and gaming compliance preferredAbility to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environmentAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information appropriatelyMust possess a professional demeanor, positive attitude, and reliable attendance recordAbility to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and varied schedules as neededPhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentAbility to stand for extended periods during scheduled shiftsAbility to frequently use hands and fingers for counting cash, handling chips, and operating computer terminalsAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds with or without assistanceAbility to work in a fast-paced casino environment with frequent guest interaction and noise exposureAbility to maintain focus and accuracy while handling large sums of money and multiple transactions simultaneouslyLicenses & Certifications Required Gaming RegistrationEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
