Must have a fundamental understanding of database management systems and database security best practices.\r\nPrimary Responsibilities\r\nAssist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database management systems.\r\nConduct routine database backup checks, identify potential issues, bottlenecks, and trends.\r\nProvide basic technical support to application users for database access and queries.\r\nHelp ensure data security by managing access controls and user permissions.\r\nDocument processes and procedures for use by database administrators and management.\r\nAssist with database upgrades, patching, and routine maintenance under supervision.\r\nWrite and execute simple SQL queries to retrieve, update, and manipulate data as needed.\r\nCollaborate with DBAs, developers, and application teams to support database-related tasks.\r\nAssist with data replication tools under the guidance of senior DBAs.\r\nJob Qualifications\r\nEducation\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\r\nRequired Experience\r\n1+ year of experience in Information Technology.\r\n1 year of experience in database administration and support, or relevant certifications.\r\nBasic knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems (RDBMS).\r\nUnderstanding of database backup, recovery, and security best practices.\r\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\r\nAbility to collaborate effectively with team members and across IT teams.\r\nExcellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal abilities.\r\nEagerness to learn and adapt to new database technologies.\r\nFamiliarity with cloud databases (GCP, AWS, Azure) is a plus.\r\nRelevant certifications are a plus.\r\nCompensation Range\r\nThe referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
