Life here is exciting and our teams thrive on tackling really hard problems, and there is never a dull moment.\nApplication Development Engineer Responsibilities:\nCustomer support: product value demonstration during beta testing, Head‑to‑Head (H2H) and tools in the ramp phase, thereby enabling product penetration and adoption worldwide.\nProvide specific product demonstrations on all aspects of highly complex products to customers and assess potential applications to meet customer needs.\nProduct characterization: develop test plans, execute detailed characterization of the tool/algorithm performance, and provide clear feedback to engineering teams for product improvement during Alpha/Beta tests.\nProblem diagnosis and troubleshooting: respond to customer requests and perform routine to moderately complex problem diagnosis and resolution.\nCustomer relationship: interact with customers to educate and coordinate activities, understand customer use cases, and improve customer relations.\nTraining: conduct customer product demonstrations and technical training, including on‑site training of Field Applications Engineers and end users.\nDocumentation: document all test results and lessons learned in BKMs, training documents, demo reports, Alpha/Beta test reports and transfer product knowledge to Field Applications teams.\nPresentation and communication: generate demo and test reports and deliver strong presentations for internal and customer review.\nRequirements:\nHigh energy, self‑driven and motivated engineers interested in working in High Tech; the semiconductor space is fast‑paced and high‑stress but provides autonomy to drive projects.\nMaster’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.\nExcellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.\nStrong team player.\nGreat‑than‑70% travel required.\nMinimum qualifications: Master’s level degree with 0 years related work experience; Bachelor’s level degree with 2 years related work experience.\nBase Pay Range: $97,800.00 – $166,300.00 per year.\nPrimary Location: USA‑CA‑Milpitas.\nKLA is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
