Position Summary Lubricate machinery, change parts, or perform other routine machinery maintenance on various types of machines used in the seal manufacturing process - mostly hydraulic presses and CNC Lathes. Will also be involved in the upkeep of the facility. Responsibilities Performs a variety of skilled maintenance work that could include painting, electricity, plumbing, air conditioning, or carpentry Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks or hoists Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished Collect and discard worn machine parts and other waste per company and environmental regulations Lead or co-lead the facility safety program – ensuring all equipment is installed and maintained up to code Actively participate and support the plant’s safety program. Report any injury or near miss immediately to your Group Lead or EHS Manager. Report all unsafe conditions immediately to a Group Lead, Value Stream Manager or EHS Manager. Actively participate in the High Performance Team designated for your area. The HPTs are meant to improve the work experience by allowing the employees an opportunity to offer suggestions for improvement. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Keep all walkways and aisle free of any debris or clutter. Maintain 5S standards by returning tools to shadow boards. Sweep floor and finishing area as needed.
