Join us.\n\nJob Description\n\nAECOM is actively seeking a talented Architecture Designer for immediate employment in our Baltimore, MD office. We have exciting opportunities for significant Transportation projects.\n\nAECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture. With a range of expertise from strategy and design through project realization, we create better outcomes to grow economies, protect natural systems, conserve natural resources, make societies more equitable, and connect and engage people through innovative, sustainable design solutions.Our Baltimore office boasts national expertise in transit rail and bus rapid transit stations and facilities. Work ranges from early planning and design to the delivery of construction documents and the execution of construction-phase support services.\n\nThe responsibilities of the Architecture Designer will include, but are not limited to:\n\nPerforming basic architectural/engineering calculations.\nPreparing specifications, reports, and related data tables.\nMaintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.\nPreparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.\nUnder the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.\nMay coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating in an assigned project.\nMay assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.\n\nQualifications\n\nMinimum Requirements\n\nBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field and 2+ years in architecture experience covering aspects of building design, including survey, design development, construction documents, construction administration, or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.\nMust have experience with AutoCAD 2010 (or higher version) and Autodesk Revit 2014 (or higher version).\nMust have experience in Microsoft Office Suite.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nExperience working on large and complex projects/programs.\nDemonstrate enthusiasm, be highly motivated, and detail-oriented.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nExcellent technical and relationship-building skills.\nMust be able to work well with clients, staff, and consultants.\nStrong knowledge of American Disabilities Act/American Barriers Act and the International Building Code.\nManagement experience on BIM projects highly desirable.\nUnderstanding of pre-development efforts.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nThis position does not offer relocation assistance.\nSponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.\n\nAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
