Senior Software Engineer
What We NeedCORPAY is currently looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer within our Lodging division. This position falls under our Lodging line of business in location (Wichita KS, Atlanta GA, Peachtree Corners GA). In this role, you will be responsible for software development and maintenance for critical system components. You will report directly to Application development manager and regularly collaborate with Product, Architecture and Business Operations.How We WorkAs a Sr Software Engineer , you will be expected to work in a remote environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing: Assigned workspace in hybrid environment Company-issued equipment Monthly home internet stipend Role ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role will include: Participating effectively with project teams in the requirements gathering, design, and development of complex applications/programs Interpreting business requirements and functional design specifications and translating them into technical solutions. Working closely with the development team to ensure proper system design and implementation Assisting multiple team members in the day-to-day activities related to project work Anticipating software design and development needs and having the ability to evaluate the proposed changes to determine their viability within the overall business solution being built or enhanced Being responsible for the delivery of complex mission critical applications in a medium to large processing environment Qualifications & Skills Minimum BA/BS in Computer Science or related field Minimum of 10 years IT development experience Minimum of 8 years extensive and recent hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL .NET framework and development in C# (web) Web services design and development SQL Server / T-SQL JSON, YAML, REST API Mobile development Git, AzDo React, Kendo, Typescript Strong familiarity with Microservice-based application architectureExperience working with SQL databases including creating and consuming stored procedures in database. Experience working with one of the following databases is a plus: Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL ServerExperience working with No-SQL databases is a plus (AWS DynamoDB, MongoDB etc.)Experience working with message processing systems or data streaming is a plus (AWS SQS, Apache Kafka etc.) Strong knowledge of .NET/C#, SQL Server, and Azure. Experience in React, JSON, XML, REST API, iOS development, Typescript, YAML Web/Mobile development. Hands-on coding experience interfacing with REST APIs (Swagger, consuming and providing REST APIs for internal / external clients etc.) Experience implementing highly scalable commercial web and mobile applications. Experience with Git and Azure DevOps. Ability to mentor Jr. Engineers in an Agile environment. Fluency in software design patterns, and architectural patterns for reliability and scale. Full stack knowledge inclusive of microservices, containers and container orchestration, database technologies, message queues, cloud-native, and front-end UI frameworks. Experience in leading development teams of 5-7 developers/qa. Knowledge with SDLC processes and tools used for development lifecycleKnowledge of domain driven design, software design patterns and design principlesExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skillsHighly detail orientedProven excellence in communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills Strong skills in designing quality solutions to stated business problems Problem solving skills including the analysis and resolution of critical system problems Strong understanding of methods for data extraction, data transformation, and data insertion Good knowledge on application and database / SQL tuning skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-starter and take the initiative to learn new processes. Ability to work in a fast paced environment, independently and as part of a team Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical Understands the financial implications of the project (labor capitalization, cost/benefits, etc.) Strong decision making abilities Ability to lead and mentor others Experience in high volume transaction processing is highly preferred Experience in Airlines industry is highly desired.
