Landscape Supervisor
Description:
Oliver Winery, the 30th ranked largest winery in the US, is seeking a skilled Landscape Supervisor to maintain the beautiful winery grounds. The Landscape Supervisor instructs, implements and oversees maintenance of all areas related to landscape within the Oliver Winery complex.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises the landscaping crew with efficiency, attention to detail, and in a manner that achieves the highest level of standards.
Oversees install, and maintains seasonal plantings, gardens and landscaped areas of the winery.
Collaborates with management on design of seasonal displays and purchasing.
Purchase of all plants, landscape materials, and tools required.
Accurately label and maintain records of plants and their locations throughout the winery.
Prioritize guest experience in maintenance of grounds and supervisor of crew. Interact with customers and staff in an educational, friendly, inviting way in an effort to enhance customer experience.
Maintain the cleanliness, appearance and safety of walkways, parking lots and common areas.
In collaboration with the maintenance department, maintain workspace, tools, and grounds in a clean and well-organized manner.
Ensures removal of snow as needed
Maintains, repairs, and builds decking as needed.
Assist in other areas of winery operation when needed.
Additional duties, as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
At least 2 years-experience working in the landscape, groundskeeping/grounds maintenance field.
Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
Must possess a detailed knowledge and understanding of plants.
Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to be insured on company vehicles.
A strong interest in wine and winemaking.
Due to the nature of our business, must be at least 21 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proven success in hospitality landscape and design.
Ability to use MS Office products.
Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) or other relevant planning software experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a physical job in a winery/production setting that will require long periods of standing, walking, lifting, climbing ladders and the ability to observe others and the work environment. This position may occasionally be exposed to wet or humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, outdoor power equipment, chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Annual performance review conducted by Management.
Annual goals to be determined collaboratively with Supervisors.
Typical Schedule: Position is full-time, hourly. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday with occasional night/weekend work.
