This role involves performing or assisting in the fabrication, modification, installation, and assembly of moderate to complex electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies.\nResponsibilities\nRead and understand process and procedure documents related to the job, including drawings, schematics, diagrams, wire lists, work instructions, production orders, and procedures.\nIdentify discrepancies in assembly processes or documentation and promptly escalate them.\nWork collaboratively with other departments and within a team setting.\nMaintain a neat and organized workspace, implementing the 5S methodology into daily routines.\nEnsure an ESD safe work environment is maintained.\nSolder to IPC JSTD-001 and wire to IPC/WHMA-A-620 class 3 requirements.\nUtilize basic mechanical skills with hand, power, and automated tooling.\nUse calibrated tools such as DMMs, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and crimpers.\nWork with epoxies, Loctite, conformal coating, and potting materials.\nBe certified in wearing a half-mask respirator and use gloves, smocks, safety shoes, and other required PPE.\nBend and form tubing to meet Engineering drawings and specifications, with familiarity in compression and pipe fittings being a plus.\nRemain flexible as priorities change to meet company goals and customer demand.\nTravel as needed to support customers and out-of-state sites.\nObserve all laws, regulations, and obligations during business operations.\nEssential Skills\nExperience with schematics, PCB rework, and IPC standards (610, 620, 7711).\nProficiency in wiring, crimping, and routing on PCBA's.\nAbility to solder to IPC JSTD-001 standards.\nBasic mechanical skills and use of calibrated tools.\nExperience with pipe fitting and tube bending.\nAdditional Skills & Qualifications\nAssociate's degree or equivalent experience with five or more years of experience.\nIPC JSTD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification is a plus.\nWillingness to work with radioactive materials and to work overtime and weekends when required.\nCapability to train lower-level technicians or act as a lead.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft operating system, SAP, and Microsoft Office is preferred.\nUS Citizenship is required.\nAbility to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance.\nCapable of lifting 35lbs.\nWork Environment\nThe role involves working with various protective gear such as gloves, smocks, and safety shoes. Employees must maintain a clean and organized workspace following the 5S methodology. The position may require travel and flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.
