We're looking for a software engineer with a strong backend focus who thrives on challenging problems and is excited to work with industry experts. In this role, you'll be at the heart of developing our high-volume, high-speed behavioral collection platform and related tooling. You'll work with Python services in a serverless, container-based AWS environment, architecting and optimizing data solutions across multiple stores, including an S3/Redshift/Iceberg data lake and real-time Postgres RDS service. Collaborating directly with technology, data science, and management teams, you'll solve real customer problems at the intersection of web technology and AI. This position offers the chance to push the boundaries of highly performant and reliable service-based architecture.This is a rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a company revolutionizing digital behavioral intelligence. If you're passionate about backend systems and creating scalable solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible in behavioral analytics, we want you on our team.\n\nResponsibilities:\nWork with Product Engineering, Product Management, Platform Engineering and Data Science to understand and refine service and data requirements, ensuring that services are in-line with architectural and operational needs.\nAs part of the Engineering Team, provide feature and service development and bug resolution for our server and data collection platforms.\nUnderstand and contribute to our leveraging of AWS services. Evaluate and test new technologies to enhance ForMotiv’s offerings\n\nQualifications:\n4 year computer science or related degree (highly recommended, but may be waived with relevant experience)\nAt least 3 years of Python API/web backend experience is required.
