The following responsibilities represent a partial list of typical functions:\nAdvance projects through established milestones, developing and implementing recovery plans for unanticipated delays.\nAssist with Client Capital Program by working with Design and Construction teams on work plans, project prioritization and the assessment of project feasibility and deliverability while supporting and fostering high levels of team performance.\nCollaborate with project team to retain the necessary internal and external resources, including appropriate professional services, to advance the assigned projects to conceptual/preliminary design or final design.\nConduct / participate in regularly scheduled meetings with the appropriate parties to ensure the project scope, schedule and budget are maintained.\nEstablish consistent work plans, budgets, business rules and project development for the successful delivery of Engineering projects.\nInteract with Client staff departments to establish agreements, force accounts and the like in support of project work.\nPrepare project status reports for supervisors, senior and executive staff on a periodic basis.\nTake the lead in establishing project risk parameters and developing the appropriate risk contingency plans.\nWork with Client staff to develop detailed project scope of work based on a statement of problem or a desired outcome. To join IEI's team and take on this role you will have the following qualifications:\nMinimum of 10 years’ experience in progressively more responsible positions in the development and delivery of Civil/Structural A/E projects.\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited college or university\nDemonstrated experience in program management, engineering design, and/or construction fields including establishment of plans, setting priorities, and incorporating facility requirements into project plans.\nDemonstrated experience working on large scale projects and/or large capital programs ($500MM+) from a Design and Construction aspects.\nDemonstrated knowledge of capital planning and assessment, procurement, project planning and development, and risk management protocols.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills; effective interpersonal skills to build and manage client relationships, resolve conflict and solve problems to effectively communicate and convey information to various audiences.\nDemonstrate superior customer service, decision-making, and problem solving; and excellent interpersonal skills as this position is client facing.\nExtensive experience in managing and influencing diverse work groups, project teams and internal and external stakeholders, including Regulatory Agencies and public utilities.\nSubstantive knowledge of Oregon Department of Transportation and/or Washington Department of Transportation policies and procedures related to design criteria, management systems, and administration.\nSubstantive knowledge of project management scheduling, cost control, and scope/code compliance review procedures, change order process, along with knowledge of multidiscipline engineering and construction principles.\nAdditional Skill Requirements:\nStrong analytical skills and attention to details\nIntermediate to advance experience with Deltek VantagePoint or similar CRM system\nTechnical Accounting skills\nStrong financial reporting experience\nDemonstrates Integrity and ethical decision making\nAble to coordinate and lead Audits\nPrepare and complete accurate financial statements\nAble to create Budgets and Forecast\nAble to analyze cost and profits\nProficient in MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)\nStrong leadership and interpersonal skills\nKnowledge and Skills\nSolid Organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.\nMust have reliable transportation and/or means of transportation to the office and project sites.\nGood verbal and written communication skills including technical writing.\n20-25% local travel to construction sites or event locations\nAbility to work evening hours on occasion.\n\nLicensure, Certification, or Other Qualifications\nA valid driver's license is required.\nMust have the permanent use of an automobile that is properly insured.\nPMP Certification a plus.\nP.E.
