This position is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and safe execution of our day shift, supporting key manufacturing processes such as operating specialized systems, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will embody a positive, can-do attitude, maintain a strong focus on safety, and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing improvement. This role provides the unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and play an integral role in our success.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nSystem Operation: Operate and monitor the solvent recovery system to maintain optimal performance, making real-time adjustments to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.\nProduction Line Setup: Assist in preparing the production line for consistent and efficient operation, including calibrating equipment and verifying all settings to meet production standards.\nWorkspace Maintenance: Participate in post-run cleanup to uphold a safe and organized environment, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for the next production cycle.\nSafety Leadership: Engage in detailed risk assessments and comprehensive safety training to promote Blueshift’s commitment to a secure workplace and regulatory compliance.\nTroubleshooting & Maintenance: Execute troubleshooting and maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability, including diagnosing and resolving issues swiftly to reduce downtime.\nAccurate Documentation: Maintain thorough records of production metrics, equipment logs, and maintenance activities to ensure operational traceability and compliance.\nQuality Control: Prepare, test, and record quality control tests as per Standard Operating Procedures for raw materials, in-process and final film, and/or final product laminations.\nQuality Compliance: Adhere strictly to the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory protocols, aligning all activities with company and industry standards.\nTeam Collaboration: Foster a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge and best practices, contributing positively to the team’s success.\nContinuous Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve operational efficiency, safety standards, and overall effectiveness.\n\nWork Schedule:\n\n4 days per week\nHours: 12 hours per shift (30-minute unpaid lunch)\nFlexibility: Rotating schedules may be required to address high-demand periods or accommodate system upgrades.\n\nSkills & Qualifications:\n\nMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.\nAt least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating proficiency with complex systems and processes.\nPreferred experience with hazardous chemicals, including an understanding of safe handling practices and emergency procedures.\nAbility to safely operate a fork truck, or willingness to obtain certification/training if required.\nStrong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative setting.\nProven commitment to safety and quality, evidenced by adherence to protocols and successful audit results.\nMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills, with the capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.\nFamiliarity with quality management systems (QMS) and the ability to meet industry-specific standards and certifications.\n\nDepartment & Supervisor:\n\nDepartment: Operations\nReporting to: Production Supervisor\n\nType of Employment:\n\nFull-time, non-exempt\n\nLocation:\n\nSpencer, MA\n\nWhy Work at Blueshift?\n\nBlueshift offers a vibrant and supportive workplace where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are foundational values.
