The ideal candidate is willing to adapt to and adopt new ways of working, excited about new challenges, and able to show past work and successes that relate to the role.\nYou will:\nDevelop and support a new web application stack\nLeverage and refine LLM-codegen processes to balance agility and quality\nDevelop and leverage agent-driven AI architectures\nWork closely with customers and adapt tools to their needs\nDevelop psychometrics and data science-focused tools in R\nOperate, extend and create cloud-based solutions in AWS\nDevelop and maintain code using best practices for maintainability, performance, security, and verifiability\nPossess the ability to quickly learn new processes, tools, and business domains\nWork with engineering leadership to deliver timely, robust software adhering to best practices\nRequired Education and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in computer science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline, or equivalent on-the-job training\nA willingness to learn new technologies and new domains (R, data science, agentic AI cloud applications)\n3-5 years relevant full-stack software development experience\nExperience with development, maintenance, and testing of software, following industry best practices\nExperience with highly available, highly concurrent cloud-based Web applications\nSome background in statistics is not required but is a big plus\nCurrent Tech Stack\nAWS hosted applications\nGo, Postgres, TypeScript, Vue.js, PrimeVue, D3\nR and R data science libraries\nGithub and Github-driven CI/CD\nHeavily LLM-driven development\nDesired Experience\nExperience working in an Agile environment\nDesire to expand knowledge in many development languages, applications, and tools\nAble to think technically and analytically\nAbility to understand the philosophy of architecture\nMust assimilate information, distill knowledge, apply experience and provide solution alternatives and recommendations\nMust have strong time management skills - including the ability to work well under pressure, plan, set priorities, adapt to change, and meet established timelines\nMust be a self-starter and detail-oriented\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nProven ability to work and excel within a team\nCompensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.\nThe full-time salary range is between $120,000 - $140,000.
