The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.\r\nKey Responsibilities:\r\nCommunicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers.\r\nDay to day scheduling, counseling, and submitting evaluation reports to local management.\r\nConduct on-the-scene accident investigations; assist drivers in preparing accident reports, OSHA reports and safety violations documents.\r\nDevelop and host driver training and safety courses; train new drivers and retrain drivers involved in accidents.\r\nObserve drivers on the road - correct safety problems on the scene while documenting violations.\r\nLiaison between drivers and both the customers and organization in customer service concerns.\r\nEvaluate and monitor driver safety and performance in compliance with legal, employment and labor policy matters.\r\nAssist Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance - drug testing and recordkeeping.\r\nDrive routes periodically.\r\nOther duties as required.\r\nQualifications:\r\nHigh School Diploma or GED\r\nValid Commercial Driver's License\r\nSupervisory experience with hourly employees; 2-3 years transit supervisory experience preferred\r\nComputer literate - basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint\r\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
