Working in a remote, rural mining environment, this position is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining crushing equipment to ensure consistent ore processing and optimal plant performance.\nThe Crusher Operator supports daily production goals by performing equipment inspections, identifying potential hazards, and maintaining safe operating conditions throughout the crushing and processing areas. The role also performs routine housekeeping and maintenance tasks to keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with company safety and operational standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nCrushing Operations & Equipment Operation\nOperate and monitor crushing equipment, including jaw crushers to ensure safe and efficient ore processing.\nAssist with grinding and crushing activities.\nOperate heavy equipment including loaders, skid steers, graders, and water trucks to support crushing operations and site activities.\nEquipment Monitoring & Maintenance\nConduct daily equipment walkaround inspections and work area checks to identify and correct safety hazards.\nMonitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs or operational concerns to supervision.\nMaintain accurate production and maintenance records.\nMaterial Handling & Housekeeping\nRemove excess material around the crusher using equipment such as skid steers or manual tools when required.\nOperate support equipment including backhoes, telehandler forklifts, loaders, dozers, and excavators with rock breakers as needed.\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment to support safe plant operations.\nCommunication & Coordination\nCommunicate effectively with plant operators, supervisors, and maintenance teams to support efficient operations.\nUse radio communications and plant systems to report operational updates and issues in a timely manner.\nQualifications\nMinimum one (1) year of experience in a crushing operation or similar mineral processing environment preferred.\nExperience in gold ore processing or other mineral processing operations is an asset.\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nStrong awareness of workplace hazards and safety procedures.\nGood communication, problemsolving, and basic math skills.\nCommitment to safe work practices and teamwork in a production environment.\nValid driver’s license required.\nWork Environment / Physical Demands\nThis position operates in a remote, rural mine-site environment and requires extensive field work around active crushing and processing equipment.\nAbility to walk and stand on uneven ground and steep terrain for extended periods.\nLift and carry materials up to 50 lbs when required.\nFrequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching while performing operational tasks.\nWork outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and dust.\nRequired use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and highvisibility clothing. Respirators may be required for certain tasks.\nWork schedules may include rotating shifts, extended hours, and occasional weekend work depending on operational needs.\nThe role operates in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nBenefits\nYou are eligible to participate in the benefit programs offered by the Company.
