This role owns the evolution of controller software, DER integration, grid protocols, APIs, cybersecurity, simulation and commissioning tools, and O&M insights platforms.You will work at the intersection of power systems, control algorithms, software architecture, and customer experience, shaping the next generation of resilient, intelligent, and interoperable microgrid solutions. This role requires deep technical engagement with engineering teams while representing customer, market, and system‑level needs.Key responsibilities:Own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for microgrid controller software and related tools:Roadmap and feature development for microgrid control algorithms, real-time dispatch, resilience modes, and optimization enginesDER integration frameworks (solar, storage, gensets, EV charging, flexible loads)Grid protocols & interoperability: Modbus, DNP3, SunSpec, OPC-UA, IEEE 1547, UL 1741 SB, IEC 61850API strategy and secure interoperability with EMS/DERMS/SCADA systemsCybersecurity features across OT / Industrial Control Systems environmentsSimulation tools (load flow, time-series, economic models)Configurators, sizing tools, and solution design workflowsCommissioning assistants and integration validation toolsO&M analytics tools for diagnostics, alarms/events, asset health, fleet KPIsTranslate customer, market, and field input into clear, prioritized product requirementsPartner closely with engineering, UX, field teams, and sales engineers across the full product lifecycleManage backlog, releases, and cross‑functional deliveryMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Controls, or a related field10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: energy systems, controls, automation, grid technologies, or industrial IoT5+ years of experience in Product Management, R&D management, or technical product ownershipStrong understanding of software development processes and system architecturesHands‑on knowledge of microgrid controllers, DER integration, EMS/SCADA systems, communication protocols, and power system stabilityProven ability to work deeply with engineering teams while representing customer and business needsExcellent communication and cross‑functional leadership skillsPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical fieldExperience with power system modeling and simulation tools (ETAP, PSCAD, OpenDSS, MATLAB/Simulink)Familiarity with cybersecurity for operational technology (OT) and industrial control systemsUnderstanding of cloud‑edge architectures, APIs, data platforms, and IoT systemsExperience scaling software platforms used in real‑world industrial or energy deploymentsBenefit at Delta Electronics Americas: Life at DeltaEEO Statement:Delta Electronics Americas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
