Position will manage the fund administrator and work closely with internal stakeholders and the auditors/tax providers. Will support the overall financial close process, financial reporting, NAV review and analytics as well as various other tasks and special projects. Qualified candidates will have a BS in Accounting, Finance or related field as well as 4-7+ years of experience. In this role, the Assistant Controller / Controller will work closely with the operations team on daily reporting, will be responsible for daily and monthly performance calculations and reconciliations, NAV review and will work with Administrators, Audit and Tax firms.\nResponsibilities:\nMaintain internal accounting system, process GL entries and maintain accrual schedules\nPerform daily cash/positions/trade reconciliations and review daily third-party administrator reports\nPerform realized/unrealized P&L, dividend and other reconciliations\nReview capital activity and supporting subscription documentation\nReview income and expense accruals\nReview management and incentive fee allocations\nAssist in maintaining proper books and records support, which includes invoices, broker statements etc.\nCheck investor statements to accounting documents\nPrepare performance estimates\nAssist with preparing monthly marketing materials and run ad-hoc report for investor requests\nWork with auditors and liaise with tax service providers\nGather info for audit requests/research questions from auditors\nReview audit confirmations\nAssist with due diligence requests\nKeep track of funds’ performance such as Gross/Net returns\nMaintain robust review procedures around deliverables\nAssist CFO/CCO with compliance filings and requests, as needed\nQualifications:\nBackground:\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline\n4-7 years of experience.
