This function provides technical expertise to support maintenance activities and remove barriers to facilitate execution productivity.\n\nDuring your day shift as a Mechanical Supervisor, you will\nEnsure the application of all safety rules, assuring Maintenance personnel are aware of and employing safe work practices and promoting safety programs and behaviors\nRepair expert for critical maintenance (in his craft) with a good working knowledge of all crafts\nAssists Maintenance Gatekeeper and area scheduler as necessary to confirm prioritization and mechanical planners to develop and sustain functional and efficient work plans\nProvide guidance to crafts on critical maintenance items, repairs, and tasks\nFacilitate first-time repair quality in an accurate, efficient, and effective manner and also, work execution productivity as measured by Time-on-Tools.\nPerform quality checks of executed work\nEnsure compliance to weekly Schedule and that notifications are closed and TECO work orders timely\nActs as a buffer to obstacles encountered by the Mechanical group during the daily workflow\nDaily communications of key issues in the area which includes job status information, incident/safety topics, production area information, best practices, and feedback.\nPromotes site Exposure Reduction Program (ERP) through employee safety contacts\nIf you have...\nMinimum 10 years experience in industrial facility (chemical industry experience is preferred but will also consider refining industries) in maintenance supervisory, project management, engineering positions\nMinimum of 2 years experience with managing/supervising multi craft work groups.\nProficiency in use of computers: (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SAP, Power BI)\nExperience with turnaround/outage planning and coordination.\nExtensive exposure to Mechanical Static Equipment construction activities within an industrial environment.\nCreate your own chemistry with you@BASF\n\nAt BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future.
