Field Service Technician
On behalf of our client Pero Corporation, we are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician with a good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems. You will service existing machines and perform installation of new machines at various client locations across the US with a strong focus on the Northeast. In addition, this role will support clients as well as fellow technicians remotely and manage service and maintenance schedules.
Job Description
As one of our factory-trained Service Technicians you represent the very best of Pero! Our customers rely on your professionalism and technical expertise to provide onsite installations and service for all types of parts cleaning systems. Our technicians troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machine mechanics, electronics and pneumatics at customer sites throughout automotive, aerospace, defense, jewelry, electro, and optical industries.
Responsibilities
Respond to customer inquiries to determine current issues with machines at customer locations
Troubleshoot machines and perform repairs at customer sites
Provide virtual support where possible
Support colleagues in the field remotely
Perform function tests as required to ensure proper systems operation
General maintenance: inspect and replace filters, seals, perform solvent change and tank cleaning, including replacement of worn parts as needed
Install and commission machines at customer site and perform basic operation testing
Provide training and instructions on machine operations to users at client site
Qualifications
Solid Training in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
Basic knowledge of electronics and touch screen controls
Advanced computer skills with productivity software (e.g. Word, Excel) and E-Mail (Outlook)
Basic experience with ERP systems and MB Connect (or other remote access software)
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Ability to work effectively and independently
Ability to troubleshoot issues on location and to provide input as to the general repair of various mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components
Good organizational skills, flexibility and team mentality
Ability to use hand and power tools
Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
Ability to communicate effectively
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Willingness to travel extensivelyCurrently hold or be able to obtain passport
