Does that sound like you?\nThe Opportunity with McKinstry\nWe are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our Engineering and Design team in Seattle, WA. This role is responsible for providing design task support to a level of quality that leads to a minimum number of required clarifications during construction. Additional responsibilities may include:\nProject Management\nDocuments project correspondence, issues, decisions and directions.\nLearns and follows McKinstry Engineering standards and procedures.\nContributes to tasks on multiple projects and timelines concurrently.\nManages own workload to deliver assigned tasks on time and in budget.\nIdentifies training, coaching, and support needed to complete assigned tasks\nDesign\nDevelops familiarity in structural systems design, including seismic anchorage calculations associated with equipment anchorage and multi-discipline coordination.\nPerforms engineering calculations, design, and drafting tasks.\nProduces design drawings and building information models for construction.\nPursues an understanding of the technical foundation of design activities and decisions.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nWhat You Need to Succeed at McKinstry:\nInternship or one (1) year experience in related field.\nBachelor’s degree in engineering discipline required or equivalent work experience required. Onsite construction experience considered and welcome.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.\nKnowledge of Revit preferred. Knowledge of other CAD/BIM tools welcome.\nFamiliarity with MATLAB, VBA, Python and structural analysis software, such as Bentley platform, RISA, SAP 2000 software tool welcome.\nEngineering in Training Certificate preferred.
