Your advanced expertise in VMware technologies, vCenter versions, distributed switches, and key features such as Storage DRS, DRS, HA, and EVC modes will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of our virtualization infrastructure.\nPosition type: Contract to hire\nPay rate: $57 - $62\nLocation: Job cane be done remotely but the ideal candidate must be from KY/IN and willing to come onsite once in a month .\nResponsibilities:\n· Utilize your extensive experience in managing VMware enterprise environments to ensure the reliability and optimal performance of our virtualization infrastructure.\n· Proficiently manage VMware vCenter versions including 6, 6.5, 6.7, and 7, using your in-depth knowledge to configure, monitor, and maintain these environments.\n· Take ownership of managing Distributed Switches, ensuring proper configuration and seamless network connectivity for virtual machines.\n· Demonstrate expertise in managing critical features such as Storage DRS, DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler), HA (High Availability), and EVC (Enhanced vMotion Compatibility) modes.\n· Build and patch ESXi hosts, leveraging your hands-on experience to maintain up-to-date and secure virtualization hosts.\n· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement virtualization solutions that align with business requirements and best practices.\n· Proactively identify and troubleshoot performance, availability, and security issues in VMware environments, taking prompt action to resolve and mitigate potential risks.\n· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance the team's capabilities.\n· Participate in capacity planning, resource optimization, and scalability efforts to accommodate the organization's growing virtualization needs.\n· Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in VMware technologies, applying this knowledge to enhance our virtualization environment.\nQualifications:\n· Proven experience (5+ years) in managing VMware Enterprise environments, showcasing a deep understanding of virtualization technologies.\n· Expertise in VMware vCenter versions 6, 6.5, 6.7, and 7, with a track record of successfully configuring, maintaining, and optimizing these environments.\n· Proficiency in managing distributed switches to ensure seamless network connectivity for virtual machines.\n· Strong familiarity with critical VMware features, including Storage DRS, DRS, HA, and EVC modes.\n· Hands-on experience in building and patching ESXi hosts, maintaining host security and performance.\n· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues in VMware environments.\n· Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and provide technical guidance.\n· Proven leadership skills, including mentoring junior team members and fostering a collaborative team environment.\n· Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.\n· Continuous learner mindset with a dedication to staying current with VMware advancements and best practices.\n· Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.\n· Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are strongly preferred.\nEncore Technologies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
